Why Deep Logic?:
As a graphic designer with an interest in independent film, I've been surprised at how few film makers are taking advantage of promoting their work on the web. Many seem to focus on getting their work featured on major sites when finished, but fail to use this medium to support them before and during production.
As a professional graphic artist with a degree in advertising design and over thirty years of experience, including over nine years in web design, I have the experience you need to promote your project.
I can design your site from start to finish or rebuild your existing site to a higher standard.
Why?:
You need to be visible to be discovered. Whether you are recruiting cast and crew members, looking for investors or promoting the final product, a web site can be a valuable tool in the process. A good site can do much more than just offer information, it can create a positive impression of your company, and maybe best of all, help create buzz.
What it is:
A properly designed web site is one element of your marketing/advertising program. Your site is a place to provide in-depth information about your project in a much more cost effective way than print, or other media. Your site not only offers a place for people to find out information, but also plants an impression of your company in their mind. Even if you are working out of your garage, you can still look like a billion dollar company on line. A well thought out site tells viewers that you are serious about what you do.
What it isn't:
A web site isn't the magic answer to all of your needs, and expectations should be realistic. Expecting potential viewers to stumble across your site through search engines alone is not the answer. While we maximize sites for search engines, the best promotion you can do is to send people directly to your site. Any advertising, correspondence or phone call should mention the web address. Getting your link listed on other sites is also very important.

Avoiding the pitfalls:
Information overload. Consider the end user's patience level and connection speed. Keep it short and sweet. Offer more in-depth information by choice.

No site at all. People expect you to be on-line. If you're not there, others will be.

Bad site. A poorly produced site can be worse than none at all.

Bad neighborhood. Sites hosted by companies that force pop-up ads look unprofessional. E-mail addresses with AOL, Hot Mail and others also should be avoided.

Technical overload. Avoid throwing every technical option into your site. Not all users are capable of viewing these sites.
